Visible-light mediated carbene N–H insertion for C–N bond construction
摘要
A catalyst-free, visible light-mediated system for the construction of C–N bonds via N–H insertion is reported. The reaction is performed using N-tosylhydrazones and amines under blue LED light at ambient temperature, to produce N-alkylated compounds up to 99% yield. The procedure is applicable to a variety of diazo compounds and two kinds of amines, benzotriazoles and 2-aminopyridines. Photoinduced denitrogenation is proposed to produce a carbene intermediate by mechanistic analysis that undergoes N–H insertion.
